  • Yes. This is a non-toxic product. “Cool-Aide” is the only Air Conditioning Exhaust hose on the market that uses recyclable paper cellulose as insulation. This is important because as the insulation heats up, it can off-gas. Other sleeves use materials such as Polystyrene which gives off a toxic gas when heated.

  • Buy 2 Cool-Aides for a dual hose Air Conditioner. Check the dimensions of your exhaust hoses and compare them to the dimensions on our Installation page.

  • Yes. You can cut the Cool-Aide Insulator to your desired length. Please review how to do this in the Installation Video. Once the Insulator is cut, it cannot be returned. Note: “Bunching up” the Insulator actually improves its insulation efficiency so only cut what you don’t need.

  • Without insulation, your exhaust hose radiates hear. The Cool-Aide insulates the hose, eliminating this radiant heat. Once insulated, when you touch the hose, it is cooler to the touch. The insulation hose reduces your electrical cost when cooling your home. It makes the portable air conditioner around 35% more efficient.
